We are a small team of passionate Silicon Valley engineers whose mission it is to enable mobile apps and Smart Home cameras to connect and stream data such as video and audio in a way that is instant and lag-free.
Having worked for many years for tech companies big and small, we saw first-hand the big challenge to provide video streaming from embedded systems to their customers. Existing solutions for embedded systems with full video and audio support are hard to find, and their performance is not satisfactory. Not to mention the cost can climb very fast as the user base expands.
Some companies resort to building their own video streaming system, which can easily take 1 to 2 years and 1 to 2 million dollars to develop.
And the end result of those projects ends up with the same problems as today’s best selling products from leading companies: slow connection times and video / audio lag, as well as high operating costs.
Armed with a strong passion for technology, and a unique blend of technical knowledge and patents acquired over 20+ years working for market-leading Consumer Electronics companies in peer-to-peer (P2P) technology, cloud, SDKs, mobile, embedded systems, we set out to create a new technology designed from the ground up for small embedded systems. The core technology was developed in pure C (C99) with a relentless focus on performance, minimal CPU usage, small memory footprint, simplicity and security.
We believed there was no reason we could not achieve connection times in less than a second, and no more than half a second of lag.
The end result surprised us as much as anyone who has seen a live demo: connection / lag times as fast as 0.1 / 0.1 seconds on WiFi, and 0.3 / 0.15 seconds on cellular data.
We expect a near future where any devices will be accessible instantly from anywhere for video and audio streaming.
